DeliveryWare provides a broad range of capabilities all with one technology platform. Many DeliveryWare customers use it for multiple document automation solutions in different departments and lines of business.

    DeliveryWare provides workflow capabilities for incoming(faxes, email attachments, scanned documents) and outgoing documents with its integrated Document Manager.  Documents requiring validation and approval are intelligently routed to users as determined by the Rules Designer.  The same Web-based Document Manager is used to provide visibility and management to users of all delivered, received, and archived documents.

    The sequence below shows how DeliveryWare is capable of providing workflow for any document-based business processes.  DeliveryWare makes it easy to design and manage workflows for all incoming and outgoing documents.


    DeliveryWare Image Recognition Module

    DeliveryWare's Image Recognition software combines Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), barcode recognition, and handwriting recognition into one module. The Image Recognition Module has the power to convert faxed, emailed, or scanned images into text that can be easily uploaded into your ERP and legacy systems, increasing efficiency and reducing errors by eliminating manual data entry tasks associated with incoming email, faxes, or scanned images.

    Features
     
    Extracts data from inbound fax, email, and scanned documents using optical character recognition (OCR), optical mark recognition (OMR), barcode recognition (1D and 2D) and handwriting recognition (ICR).
     
    Extracts data from inbound fax, email, and scanned images and converts it to text so that it can be used with other applications and for creating new business documents.
     
    Extracts routing information from inbound fax, email, and scanned documents and automatically delivers the documents to the appropriate destinations.

    DeliveryWare Data Interchange 

    DeliveryWare allows virtually any data to be mapped to an alternative format.  The data can be captured from images, database queries, text, EDI, XML, or proprietary and formatted into another document or data type (i.e. EDI to XML), or converted to another file type.  Captured data can also be inserted into databases with DeliveryWare's SQL Connector.

    Use DeliveryWare data interchange for:
  • Capturing existing text data (i.e. PO or ASN) and converting to trading partner's preferred data type

  • Mapping XML and EDI data into formatted documents

  • Mapping XML to EDI and vise versa 

  • Extracting data from images for mapping to XML for indexing or back-office data uploads or other document management systems



  • The DeliveryWare Rules Designer is used to map captured data fields and format into other data types such as XML in the example above. 

    DeliveryWare Archiving & Retrieval  

    DeliveryWare archiving capabilities allow you to store, search, retrieve and track all invoices, quotes, statements, purchase orders, and other business documents sent from your enterprise application. Indexes allow authorized users to quickly sort large volumes of data to find the right document. DeliveryWare has integrated archiving and retrieval that can be used to store all incoming and outgoing documents. Users securely access documents and messages from DeliveryWare's Web-based Document Manager.

    DeliveryWare makes document process automation manageable and easy by means of a unique intelligence technology called DeliveryWare Rules. DeliveryWare Rules recognizes text, XML, images, or print-stream data from any enterprise application. Based on this recognition, it automates document delivery, routing, workflow, capture, archiving, and more. Rules are created within the easy-to-use graphical DeliveryWare Designer. Together, DeliveryWare Designer and Rules accelerate document processing and revolutionize information delivery. 

    Document Process Automation Made Easy

    The DeliveryWare Rules and Designer screen shots shown below (click to enlarge) show how DeliveryWare is capable of integrating with and managing any business application utput or document types.  Within the single Rule Designer interface, any document or data type is captured and automated for delivery, workflow, storage, and integration.



    With text files or print streams, DeliveryWare provides document recognition, segmenting, data capture, lookups, routing, etc.


    XML elements are automatically made available to integrated Crystal Reports (included) for document formatting.

  • uses document or data content and/or accesses any LDAP or ODBC database to retrieve appropriate destination information – email or IP address, fax or mobile phone number, URL, or street address

  • converts the documents into the delivery-appropriate format

  • applies formatting styles to transform application data into appealing e-documents

  • delivers documents via any delivery transport (email, web, fax, print, or wireless message) based on recipient preferences

  • routes documents to their destination using:
    • recipient-defined preferences (email, web, fax, print, or wireless message)      
    • delivery-appropriate format (HTML, XML, PDF, TIFF, or text).

  • formats documents using:
    • style sheets for modification of display attributes such as fonts, background images, and page setup while preserving the original document structure

    In the Routing screen the user identifies data elements on the input document and assigns names to them as shown under the User Field branch.


    In the formatting step, the data elements captured are automatically made available to integrated Crystal Reports (included).
